Market Overview
The FTSE/JSE All Share closed last week at 79 333.72, increasing by 3.24%. The technology and telecommunication sectors were the best performing, increasing by 6.99% and 4.25% respectively. The oil & gas sector was the only detractor, decreasing by 0.18%.
 
Looking at the MSCI indices, developed markets increased by 3.27% during the previous week while emerging markets increased by 4.18% over the same period.

South African rand stronger as dollar extends drop
