Discovery Insure is offering clients the option to include extra cover for Maintenance/Wear & Tear on geysers and water pipes (this covers wear & tear, rust, decay or faulty workmanship) to their policy.
This cover needs to be requested on the policy.
Below please see an explanation of the cover.
ESSENTIAL PLAN –
The Pipes & Water Heating Systems will have Wear & Tear Cover for up to 2 events during every 12 month period and cover will be up to R12,500. Resultant Damage to Contents up to R5,000.
Loss of Water from Leaking Pipes – Excluded
CLASSIC PLAN –
The Pipes & Water Heating Systems will have Wear & Tear Cover for up to 2 events during every 12 month period and cover will be up to R25,000. Resultant Damage to Contents up to R15,000.
Loss of Water from Leaking Pipes – Limited to 2 events during a 12 month period. Cover for up to R5,000.
PURPLE PLAN –
Cover Already Included Automatically in the policy.
